Well, let us tell you. We’ll be handing #scotlitfest over to the Electric Bookshop for an hour on Sunday June 26th for an exploration of the world of books and reading.
What do they do?
Their events explore diverse and cutting-edge technologies, the latest ideas and debates, conductive ink, paper technology, storytelling and educational apps, new media art, the future of librarianship – and that’s just a few topics they’ve looked at.
But what does that look like?
Earlier this year, they hosted a workshop at the Society of Young Publishers Scotland’s conference 2020: A Publishing Odyssey, where they handed the future of Harper Lee’s Go Set A Watchman over to the audience’s imagination. Last year, they hosted Hack-Fest, which looked at the publishing house of the future. These are but two events to give you an idea.
So what will the hour hold?
Well, that’s still a surprise, but it’ll be one heck of an exploration of past-future, present and future-future of reading and publishing. Intrigued? You should be. A must for fans of reading in any and all forms. For more information, check out the event page.
